To provide high-quality healthcare and comprehensive medical support to patients in a friendly, safe, and professional setting, aligned with the clinic’s vision and mission, and to ensure the well-being and health of staff, retirees, and all eligible dependents. All practitioners are required to possess a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to ensure the highest standards of care.

Accountability & Responsibility

• Responsible to the daily administration of the Dispensary operations
• Maintain in depth knowledge of TNB Healthcare contracts and their compliance
• Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history and confirming purpose of visit
• Prepare patient for examination by performing preliminary physical tests such as ECG, taking blood pressure, weight and temperature, reporting patient history summary
• Assist the locum doctors in performing any medical or minor surgical procedures
• Ensure that all drugs are adequate and medical equipment are well maintained
• Continously evaluated patient care needs, prioritizing treatment and maintaining patient flow in the Dispensary.
• Keep supplies ready by performing inventory stock and placing orders.
• Handle patient pharmacy needs by phoning in prescriptions to preferred pharmacies and assisting with application and processing of medical assistance through pharmaceutical companies.
• Educate individuals, families and other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention and treatments for illnesses
• Administer injections and immunizations.
• Treat wounds and lacerations. Performs Dressing, ‘Toilet and Suturing’
• Carry out dispensing of drugs
• Collect blood, tissue and other laboratory specimens and prepared them for lab testing
• Schedule patient’s appointment by arranging with Medical providers
• Compliance of SEMS, ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001: 1999 when carrying out the daily activities

Competencies

Education and Certification

• Diploma in Medical Assistant (registered with the Malaysian Medical Assistant Board) or Diploma in Nursing (registered with Malaysian Nursing Board)
• Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Experience Requirements

At least 3 years of working experience in clinical / healthcare field
