To drive sustainable growth through synchronized strategic planning across the NED Group, leveraging market intelligence and ensuring maximization of existing renewable energy asset value by monitoring key business drivers and generating  actionable insights that support informed decision-making while also spearheading turnaround strategies where necessary

Accountability & Responsibility

STRATEGY & PERFORMANCE (STRATEGY, MARKET INTELLIGENCE, PORTFOLIO PERFORMANCE & TURNAROUND)

Strategy & Commercial Strategy

  • Portfolio Strategy & Delivery Support NED Group-wide annual strategic planning process in alignment with TNB Group, coordinating inputs across platforms and assisting in the review of five-year growth trajectories to ensure delivery of RE targets.
  • FM & Investment Roadmap Execute and drive development and maintenance of NED portfolio FM and investment roadmap.
  • Performance Monitoring & Strategy Refresh Conduct the monitoring and evaluation of NED performance against the approved strategic plan, highlighting trends, gaps, and opportunities, and assisting in periodic strategy refresh to drive continuous improvement.
  • KPI - Support the end-to-end KPI process for the NED Group, including data collection, standardization, analysis, and preparation of KPI proposals across all platforms and manage improvement initiatives in the RT dashboard.
  • Global Market Scanning and Strategic Fit Conduct monitoring and analysis of global market developments that address the intelligence needs of each owned asset and assist in assessing potential new markets based on policy direction, demand growth, and alignment with NED/TNB  strategic capabilities.
  • Ad hoc Prepare materials and insights for Group-level strategic deliberations.

Portfolio Performance

  • Financial Performance & Monitoring Execute in driving financial performance through monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and early identification of risks, red flags, and opportunities.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting Execute and drive analysis of financial and non-financial performance (technical, ESG, strategy delivery, macro factors) and ensure consistent, reliable reporting to stakeholders.
  • Strategic Alignment & Execution Execute in translating high-level strategies into operational plans, measurable initiatives, and provide advisory on asset/portfolio improvements, restructuring, and funding.
  • Financial Modelling & Planning Execute in maintaining the consolidated financial model and financing roadmap to evaluate implications of different strategic or operational decisions.
  • Adhoc Projects Execute in maintaining the NED Playbook and execute CNEO/HOD-directed tasks to deliver sustainable long-term value to TNB.
  • Data Integration Ensure the integration of diverse data sources (e.g., Market, financial systems) into centralized platforms, enabling advanced analytics, forecasting, and decision support for asset management, risk monitoring, and energy transition.

Strategic Communication

  • Communication Strategy Coordinate NED communications by translating strategic direction into actionable plans, ensuring unified messaging, effective information flow, and strong alignment with TNB strategic priorities across all subsidiaries

Turnaround Management

  • Support the design and development of intervention strategies to align recovery initiatives with objectives and stakeholder expectations, including the preparation of approval papers.
  • Coordinate the implementation of approved turnaround plans at project, asset, or function level by coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring effective execution, and tracking progress milestone

KPIs

  • Strategy Management (5-year NED strategic plan, strategic refresh and initiatives)

Education and Knowledge

  • Degree in any related fields e.g. Engineering/Management/Finance/Accounting/Business Administration/Economy
  • Masters degree in related fields or professional qualifications is an advantage

Experience Requirements

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
  • At least 5 years of experience in power or related business
