Accountability & Responsibility

  • Execute sales and marketing initiatives to promote TRe’s renewable energy solutions including solar PV, biomass, biogas, and mini-hydro energy supply offerings to corporate and institutional customers.
  • Identify and develop potential business opportunities by engaging with corporate clients seeking renewable energy procurement solutions to support their sustainability and decarbonization commitments.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of commercial proposals, bids, and tender documents for renewable energy projects in collaboration with Business Development, Engineering, and Finance teams.
  • Coordinate closely with Business Development teams to convert project opportunities into secured commercial arrangements such as corporate power purchase agreements (PPAs) or renewable energy supply contracts.
  • Conduct market analysis and customer segmentation to identify high-potential industries and organizations that require renewable energy solutions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key corporate customers, utilities, government-linked companies, and multinational corporations to support long-term renewable energy partnerships.
  • Support negotiations of commercial terms including pricing structures, contract duration, and service delivery arrangements under renewable energy supply agreements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Project Development teams to ensure commercial proposals align with technical capabilities, project feasibility, and operational constraints.
  • Prepare commercial documentation required for internal approvals including proposal summaries, financial assumptions, and project evaluation reports.
  • Track and manage sales pipelines, ensuring timely follow-ups with prospective clients and monitoring progress from opportunity identification to contract execution.
  • Represent TRe in industry forums, business engagements, and stakeholder meetings to strengthen market visibility and promote renewable energy solutions.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing and Corporate Communications teams to develop marketing materials, presentations, and campaigns that support brand positioning and client engagement.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and regulatory developments affecting renewable energy procurement and corporate energy demand.
  • Work closely with Finance teams to ensure sales proposals align with project financial models, revenue projections, and investment guidelines.
  • Support the preparation of management reports on sales performance, business opportunities, and market developments.
  • Ensure compliance with TNB Group governance policies, commercial approval procedures, and regulatory requirements in all sales and marketing activities.
  • Facilitate internal coordination between Sales, Business Development, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure seamless transition from commercial agreement to project implementation.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer engagements, proposals, and commercial negotiations within the organization’s business tracking systems.
  • Contribute to the achievement of departmental revenue targets and business development objectives.

  • Sales Revenue Generated through renewable energy supply agreements and commercial contracts.
  • Number of Corporate Clients Secured for renewable energy solutions.
  • Sales Pipeline Conversion Rate from qualified opportunities to executed agreements

Education and Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Energy Management, Economics, or equivalent fields.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Energy Management would be an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of renewable energy technologies including solar PV and other clean energy solutions.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy market structures, corporate renewable energy procurement models, and power supply arrangements.
  • Understanding of commercial contract structures including power purchase agreements (PPAs) and energy supply agreements.
  • Familiarity with corporate sustainability and ESG initiatives influencing renewable energy demand.

Certifications

Experience Requirements

  • Malaysian citizenship
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in sales, marketing, or business development.
  • Experience in renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure, or energy-related sectors would be highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience in managing client relationships, preparing commercial proposals, and supporting contract negotiations.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, and project management.
  • Exposure to corporate energy solutions, sustainability initiatives, or infrastructure project commercialization would be beneficial.
