Mission (Sources of Values)

To establish and drive major renewable energy (RE) initiatives in order to spur growth and sustainability of the New Energy Division (NED)’s investments and provide support to other divisions of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB).

Accountability & Responsibility

  • Lead activities/ projects (e.g., due diligence, valuation, negotiations, transaction closing) relating to the acquisition or divestment of investments.
  • Identify potential new acquisition synergies and lead the development of post-deal integration plans to enable the realization of identified synergies and limit disruption to business operations.
  • Responsible for developing (di)investment proposals/ papers for approval by the relevant authorities. 
  • Drive major initiatives under the direction of the Head (M&A), relating to special situations e.g., financial and operational restructuring and turnaround initiatives on underperforming assets, to safeguard investments’ value. Key tasks include stabilizing core operations, formulating and managing turnaround plans, evaluating strategic options to maximize value during restructuring processes, and negotiating with senior management and key stakeholders.

Education

1. A degree in a related field, e.g. Finance/ Accounting/ Engineering/ International Business.

2. A master's degree in a related field is an advantage.
