REQUIREMENT ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE

• Malaysian citizenship
• Minimum seven (7) years of working experience with preference at least three (3) years in construction project.
• Prior experience in any project site supervision is advantageous.
• Ability to supervise contractor works at site and working together with Owner’s Engineer.
• A strong technical and engineering background particularly in Civil works as well as familiar the entire project life cycle activities.
• Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with passes in at least six (6) subjects, including a credit in Bahasa Malaysia and passes in the following subjects
• ✓ English
• ✓ Mathematics
• OR Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional (SPMV), subject to the following requirements:
• ✓ Credit in Bahasa Malaysia with a minimum Grade C.
• ✓ Minimum Academic Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00.
• ✓ Minimum Vocational Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.67.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field from a local Polytechnic or a university recognised by the Government of Malaysia and accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
• Basic understanding of project management methodologies and risk management for planning, executing, and controlling large-scale asset development projects.
• Basic understanding in Civil works such as geotechnical investigations, topographic surveys, site clearing, grading, excavation, and construction of access roads.
• Familiar with power plant design and engineering with relevant standards for Civil works specifically in hydro plant.
• Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, standards, guidelines and permitting processes related to power plant construction and operation.
• Demonstrates expertise in hydro project lifecycle management, encompassing all phases from planning and execution to successful closure.
• Possesses a strong working knowledge of power plant technologies, operation, andmaintenance (O&M) requirements, and relevant industry regulations and bestpractices.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools such asMicrosoft Project or Primavera.

Accountability & Responsibility

a)    Execution
-    To assist Engineer (Civil) by conducting thorough inspections of power plant equipment system, and processes to ensure they adhere to owner’s obligation and regulations, safety standards, and operational guidelines under project documents.

b)    Documentation
-    Prepare site daily reports.

c)    Quality and Monitoring
-    To assist Engineer (Civil) in controlling the quality of workmanship as well as monitoring plant operational efficiency by doing thorough inspections. 

d)    HSE Control
-    To assist Engineer (Civil) to evaluate the condition and performance of power plant machinery and safety systems to uphold high efficiency and in compliance with the approved environmental regulation and standard by DOE and Company’s procedure.

e)    Risk Management
-    Manage the execution of Civil activities to its successful completion and in accordance with the scope.

f)    Monitoring & Controlling
-    To assist Engineer (Civil) in identifying risks that takes place throughout the project duration and implementing the planned response to such risks.

g)    Technical Knowledge
-    Acquire design and project execution knowledge while working under the supervision of consultant.

h)    Defect Liability Period
-    Manage To assist Engineer (Civil) in managing the defects during the Defect Liability Period.

i)    Support Function
-    Ensure strict adherence to all internal HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures. Create and maintain a safe and conducive work environment. Promptly report any unsafe acts or conditions through the HSE wallet.
-    Maintain and review periodically elements of GenCo Integrated Management System (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 55001, ISO 27001, ISO 9001) and other management system standards based on roles and functions as and when required to meet the ISO standard requirements.
